About Your Tutor
My name is Gaurav Lall. I am a student and tutor who matriculated in 2018 with distinctions in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Accounting and Life Orientation at Crawford College Sandton. I hold a BSc in Nuclear Science and Engineering (WITS University), a BSc Honours in Physics (University of Pretoria) and I am currently pursuing an MSc in Nuclear Physics (WITS University).As a student myself, I understand the challenges of learning complex subjects and the importance of having the right support to succeed. As a result, for the last 5 years I have been tutoring high school and university students, guiding them towards academic success.

High School: Mathematics, AP Mathematics and Physical Sciences. IEB and GDE are both offered.University: Physics Major (1st, 2nd and 3rd year), Auxiliary Physics, Applied Physics, Mathematics Major (1st and 2nd year), Engineering Mathematics (1st and 2nd year).
Pricing
Online (MS Teams) - R250/hour
In-Person - R300/hour (subject to availability and a 15km radius within the Morningside area)
Lesson Format
In general, students select the area of focus for a lesson, based on to their individual needs. The lesson offered will revolve around both theory and practice examples.Guidance will be provided to assist students in identifying any challenges they may have with their work. This includes personalised notes, past papers and exam answering techniques.Longer lessons in the form of exam workshops can be conducted in the event that a student requires focused test or exam preparation. These lessons require more time than a single hour due to the time limit of a test/exam.While I am happy to provide guidance and support with homework and assignments, it's important that students take an active role in completing the majority of their homework/assignment.
